📝 Overview

This lesson plan (LP) introduces students to aspects of effective teamwork and addresses three essential questions:
  1. What is the role of a good leader?
  2. What is the role of a good team member?
  3. How do good leaders and good team members work together?
 

🎯 Goals

As a result of this lesson, students wil be able to:
  • understand principles of good leadership more deeply
  • appreciate the value of working as a team
  • define the role of leader versus team member
  • demonstrate their ability to be a good team member
  • use vocabulary and language structures needed to discuss these topics

🔎 Inquiry Notebook Prompts

As students complete the Access lessons, they will document their research, observations, analyses, and reflections in Inquiry Notebooks.

On Page 7 of this lesson, you will find creative Inquiry Notebook Prompts to guide students' critical thinking and encourage them to reflect on what makes a good team member and how team members differ from leaders. Involve students in their learning by letting them choose one inquiry prompt to answer after completing the lesson plan.
