📝 Overview

This lesson plan (LP) asks students to consider how personal mottos can help people overcome challenges—like being the target of bullying—and approach others with empathy. Students explore two essential questions:
  1. How can positive personal mottos help people overcome challenges?
  2. How can we use empathy towards others to address bullying?

🎯 Goals

As a result of this lesson, students will be able to:
  • consider the effects of bullying on others
  • explore the concepts of empathy and compassion
  • explain the purpose of personal mottos
  • select personal mottos for creating a supportive community
